Stephen@Cult Labs 21st July 2009 10:24 AM

Haha I wish. These are just simple things with photoshop, anything harder and I'd probably get totally lost lol

Pete 21st July 2009 10:26 AM

Simple or not they are better than most of the dvd covers you seen in HMV.

Stephen@Cult Labs 21st July 2009 10:39 AM

True.Thats because hardly any companies use the original artwork for the films anymore, they'd rather come up with some photoshopped monstrosity or have a cover full of floating heads!

And another,non-horror this time :)

Throught I would have a go at this here is my attempt at a cover for one of my favourite British horros Raw Meat (aka Death Line). Dont think I got the font at the bottom quite right. Also just noticed Gary Sherman is American doh!

Sam 21st July 2009 06:15 PM

Great work :thumb:!! I always enjoyed the mock up Shameless covers. How long until someone does Night of the Demon?

Im sure the optimum dvd is uncut. It contains the Peckinpah cameo missing from most versions.

Stephen@Cult Labs 22nd July 2009 10:42 AM

Yeah but my cover is much better :eyebrows:

Pete 22nd July 2009 10:43 AM

I LUV THAT ONE! C'mon Almar, you know you want to ! ;) :thumb:

Stephen@Cult Labs 22nd July 2009 11:16 AM

I believe its a scene or scenes of reporters interviewing the truckers on the road, nothing earthshattering but 3minutes is still 3 minutes

Pete 22nd July 2009 11:19 AM

Thats in the Optimum dvd.

Stephen@Cult Labs 22nd July 2009 11:29 AM

i think it stull contains a part of the scene but not all of it.I found this on another site.someone contacted optimum about it

E-mail recieved from Optimum:

Dear Shawn,

Our version will be the same as the Warner’s version and consequently it won’t contain the scene you mentioned.
For the moment we‘re not considering releasing the ‘proper version’ for a question of time and money.

The company was just bought by Studio Canal and we are releasing films from their catalogue, which means that Convoy isn’t a priority in our releases and we couldn’t add the extra money to acquire the trailer.

Thanks for your query.

Pete 22nd July 2009 11:33 AM

Intersting. That scene contains Peckinpahs cameo and it is definitely in the dvd. Im sure the triailer is there aswell. Im going to check.
