With the awesome news that Arrow will be releasing the classic Bay Of Blood, which artwork would you like to see grace the cover?

Stephen@Cult Labs 20th July 2010 06:19 PM

Sorry about your replies to my artwork thread Brain dead and loops. I Made a mess of posting my poll. :o

Pete 20th July 2010 06:21 PM

No problem.

Here's another two I found when looking for BOB2

But I do think a twist on BOB2 would work well with the past custom covers.

Stephen@Cult Labs 20th July 2010 06:30 PM

Oh I love that 1st one. Maybe I should have searched a bit longer!

Mojo 20th July 2010 06:33 PM

The first one for me, too. Superb!

mbv 20th July 2010 06:44 PM

2 and 6 for me

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 20th July 2010 06:53 PM

1, 2, 3 & 5 for me...

...plus both of brain dead's. ;)

That's the French one panel,I've got that one,it's a big poster ! The Belgian poster uses the same artwork as well, although with different text at the bottom,It is MUCH smaller though ! Got both, probably sell the Belgian one soon.
I'd go for 1 [easily the best],2,3,5,6 [are nice as well]

Inspector Tanzi 20th July 2010 08:32 PM

1 2 3 & 6.

Stephen@Cult Labs 20th July 2010 08:58 PM

I like 2, 4 5 and 6 and also the 1st one brain dead found.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 20th July 2010 10:12 PM

Always yearned for that 2nd one and the old Hokushin artwork is cool as well.

BOB3 is the best there, but I'd prefer at least one of these, from the Italian posters - it is an Italian film afterall. They are nicer than the Spanish posters.

the blob 21st July 2010 12:34 AM

1, 2 & 3 for definite but also went for 7. I'm not actually keen on any of the last four but a good midnite movie/grindhouse one seemed like a bit of fun.

Mbarr 21st July 2010 05:02 PM

The Raro cover is a must I'm sure that's the original art, other than that I'm happy with anything!

This one is so cool.I've LONGED for someone to put this out.

ABUS included it in the Bava boxset, but it's doubled with another.:(

C'mon Arrow!

Sargento 21st July 2010 08:11 PM

If we wanna go for BIG sales, then the old Hokushin classic (BOB6). I didn't like my old R1 TOTDN .... looks too pyschodelic. I think we need all out shock for this baby!

Very nice artwork on these two designs.

My only gripe is that they give you the impression ABOB has a more monstrous antagonist claiming victims when we all know the murderous miscreants in the film are of the human variety.

I personally voted for illustrations 2,4 and 6.

But still, well done Brain Dead for bringing these superbly striking renderings to our attention.;)

I never thought much of this particular design myself. Not a lot to it imo.

The Raro DVD cover doesn't really float my boat either to be honest and i'd rather see Brain Dead's two fab finds.:)

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 24th July 2010 04:42 PM

First one's superb.
Second one would be more suited to something like Zombie Lake!

Sargento 24th July 2010 05:45 PM

I would still really love to see the main cover with a bit of grue rather than arty imagery. This one deserves to be a big seller, and not just to the initiated like us guys on here. Give the cover some impact guys ... rather like the old Hokushin VHS.

wayfarer 27th July 2010 09:40 AM

I voted for Number 1 but Number 6 is suitably creepy.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 27th July 2010 04:18 PM

I really like the second one but hope that this will be released like Martin with four different covers.

Gigantor 27th July 2010 04:46 PM

I picked Number 2

Whirlwind 27th July 2010 04:55 PM

I like the first one best ,very stylish.2 & 4 after that

Sargento 27th July 2010 05:49 PM

If we get a few reversible sleeves, I would like them to be printed so we can choose which one we would llike to display in the window. The present lay out on other Arrow releases means the amaray case has to go in the cardboard sleeve BACK TO FRONT to display the desired sleeve, and therefore the spine is at the cardboard end of the sleeve ... did I make any sense there?

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 27th July 2010 07:01 PM

Yep you did mate.
Good thing is though...If you're displaying your fave cover face on then it don't really matter where the spine printing is.If it's going on the shelf sideways then it don't matter if your fave cover is showing.
It's all down to quantum physics showing the perpendicular and gravitational centrifugal optical displayist method....:madgrin:

Sorry.I'm possessed by Richard Hammond.

thundercrack 27th July 2010 10:06 PM

Will this film have the Video Nastie title that it got banned under?

thundercrack 27th July 2010 10:08 PM

I picked 6 as I would like to see this Video nastie get passed Uncut UNDER THE UK BANNED TITLE.

And I thought I had confused everyone!

And less of the Richard Hammond on here! I would sooner watch an August Underground pile of tripe than talk about him!

JAMIOUSE 28th July 2010 07:14 PM

Ohh August Underground, Hammond is at least watchable unlike all their output. Is there a date set for Bay Of Blood?

Prowler 29th July 2010 06:56 PM

2 for sure.

Amertume 7th August 2010 03:42 AM

This is probably the only one flick I definitely feel a need to see with a total of eight to ten different cover designs, if possible! :D

La Baie Sanglante is just beautiful... all three artworks.

Every artwork with the machete involved is just beeeaaautiful! :)

If I have to vote among the nine masterpiece designs, I'd choose 2, 5, 8 and 9.
Number 4 is also cool, apart from the age certification.

No new artwork is really needed to be done this time, save that for any other classic flick! :D

Tombsy666 21st August 2010 02:59 PM

Voted for 1 & 2, quite like these, it's going to be interesting to see what ones actually become the final choice, looks like 2 is the forerunner at the mo, can't wait to see the film again

I vote for the unissued Medusa artwork. ;)

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 21st August 2010 06:14 PM

Hmmm not sure 'bout that one.....

masdawg 21st August 2010 06:26 PM

I went for 2 and 7. While 7 isn't as colourful as some of the other artwork, I especially enjoy the "Face-To-Face warning" info...did this really happen when the film was released to theatres?
