Masterlist of forthcoming releases?
 

I know, I know.. I'm being lazy by not just writing it all down from the announcement threads but how about a little sticky with a master list of recent/forthcoming releases?

With all these new announcements I'm starting to get confused about what's coming out when.. memory isn't my strong point. Maybe even add Amazon affiliate links as and when they turn up to make it even easier and bring in some extra cash. :)

Dates can always change though.:)

I'm looking into making pages that will show lists of historical and forthcoming releases using our database of titles.

If nothing's appeared next week nag me to get it done! :)

Finally getting time to sort out little issues here and there; like Almar noticing that the nice new Damage Depot banner wasn't showing in all the Damage Depot sections.

Ok folks, I need your help! Thing is, I'm just the technical help around here so I don't have much more information than you do when it comes to releases.

I'm building a title database for Cult Labs so we can have things like release list pages, calendars and so on.

Here's a really basic list showing what's in the database right now: Cult Laboratories

As this list has been put together by me it's incomplete, and may contain incorrect information; it's not to be relied upon!

Please help me fill the gaps! Then once Almar is back I'll endeavour to keep it up to date with future releases.

One request: Could you please also add the Arrow Blu-rays to the list.

I'm a little stressed right now and can't help out with dates and stuff but the idea is awesome, if you could create a database where you can click on the titles and get covers and technical specs for the releases, that would be fantastical.

For me, one thing is important, since infos tend to jump around the place: Which forthcoming releases get a BD treatment and which ones only appear on DVD. I need to know that cuz I'm gonna go Blu whenever possible and even though I've preordered everything on Amazon, I'd like to be up to date concerning that.

That looks nicely laid out. I think it might be best to wait until Almar gets back unless anyone else has a real grip of the dates because I'm as confused as anybody, haha..

I'll second adding something like (DVD & Blu-Ray) or (DVD) after each one too..

Masterlist is a cracking good idea. So much coming out, it's always helpful to have dates and formats, as many of us are wondering if Argento's Phenomena, Bird and Cat will be Blu. I know it's not always possible to tell us this sort of information as soon as we'd like it, so a frequently up to date database would sure help with budgeting to buy these releases.

I completely echo the sentiments for some kind of Blu-ray distinction.

Sure, we can separate Blu-Ray from DVD. What we'll have eventually is many ways of viewing the list, sorted by category, by director, by stars...

What do you think about my idea of connecting the list to a database listing cover arts and technical details of all the releases ... then this would create one massive overview with everything one needs to know.

That's exactly what we're doing actually! We've been working on such a system, trialling it with Shameless first :)

I do hope most of the Argento output marked down for August release is just pure speculation at present otherwise i'm gonna be skint!

So many DVD and BR titles coming at me from all directions at the mo i'm being financially attacked from all sides!:)

I do find using this release schedule list is more helpful in keeping abreast of Arrow's output so keep it comin'.:)

Just noticed Day of the Dead (Blu-ray) seems to be missing. It was released on 5th April 2010.

Is this list still being updated? Having looked at it, apart from there not being a few of the upcoming Dario Argento releases being listed as Blu-ray (which I'm hoping for), I've noticed Tenebrae is listed as having been released on 26th July, 2010, which is long past and looking at the Tenebrae thread it's likely to be next year now :(

It's not being actively updated... and all release date errors are my fault.

The problem is I don't have the exact info and need to grill Almar for it but can only do that when the other ongoing work is done and that rarely seems to end!

In the meantime if anyone has any corrections they can post them here and I'll update the page so others can benefit from it.

We'll get there in the end! :)

The list is definitely a good idea. Being new around here it was one of the first things that caught my eye so I could see what else there was to get hold of, so I'm assuming it'd be handy for other new members also.
