Arrow Video - Island of Death - The Archive Conversation

Niko Mastorakis' super nasty but old school video fave Island of Death has amazingly been passed uncut by the BBFC - here's a reminder link if you're not familiar with the film

Devils in Mykonos (1975)

So now to the planning... artwork, extras and everything else you'd like to see from an Arrow Video release of this sleazy classic!

that sounds pretty good Almar, never heard of the film though but the plot synopsis on Imdb made it interesting.....

The goat scene was never cut by the BBFC, even for the old cinema release. There's simply nothing in the film to cut today.

It has its followers but personally I think it's an abysmal film with no redeeming features.

It sounds like a Shameless release, but I'm sure it'll be good fun... and uncut !

Calum 20th September 2010 04:05 PM

Despite the murmurings on other threads (like the GFT one) I had few doubts this would go through uncut. ;)

P-Mac 20th September 2010 04:07 PM

So did you get a reason why it's been passed uncut? I'm guessing they said the usual "passing of time" baloney!

Pete 20th September 2010 04:09 PM

It's just not that shocking.
