Tenebrae and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage release date changes
There is some additional work being done on the discs for Tenebrae and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage which means that the release dates have had to be pushed back a couple of weeks. In terms of specifics, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage requires some work whilst Arrow add the Kim Newman and Alan Jones commentary. Arrow weren't happy with the encode for Tenebrae so they have increased the bitrate. They have been experimenting with the 5.1 track but it won't work because Arrow's version of the film is slightly longer than the previous Anchor Bay version. This means the audio will not synch with the picture and so is not usable. The upcoming bank holidays may make things a little difficult in terms of liaising with other companies so these revised release dates are subject to change. I shall keep this thread updated, so please keep checking back for up-to-date information. It's all about ensuring these releases are as good as they can possibly be, so the revised release dates are: Tenebrae: June 13 The Bird with the Crystal Plumage: May 30 Events will also be modified in the Arrow Video May 2011 New Releases and Arrow Video June 2011 New Releases, so you can also keep an eye on the release dates there.

Unfortunately, the planned release date for The Bird with the Crystal Plumage has had to be put back to June 13. This is due to a snarl up with the packaging which has come out wrong at the replicators so they need additional time to fix it. On this occasion it's a matter completely out of Arrow's control but they do want to pass on their apologies for the delay.

Due to some unforeseen problems at the factory, Tenebrae has been delayed a fortnight and will now be released on June 27.
