Default Dawn/Day of the Dead - Amazon.co.uk

Does anyone know if the Dawn/Day of the Dead releases being sold on amazon. co. uk still contain the poster/art cards etc.?

I had heard that only some had all those bonus goodies, and once they were gone, the release would just be the discs...can anyone confirm this for me?

The Arrow releases of Dawn and Day will continue to carry the same physical extras BUT do be aware that once the DVDs run out no more will be made of Dawn or Day. Arrow are finding the sales of DVD versions of titles that are also available as Blu-rays are not doing well enough to justify making more.

That's not so good for dvd buyers. Looks like BD sales are creeping up and surpassing dvd sales then.

Wow, I find that news very surprising. Hopefully, these figures are being seen by other companies and we'll start seeing more niche titles released on BluRay.

I would like this to be a tipping point which would see, as you say, more little-known titles being released on Blu-ray as well, if not instead of, DVD.

I'm not bothered by the notion of Arrow phasing out DVD releases in favour of BR variants. It'll simply be cheaper for me in the future buying for a single format as opposed to two. As long as the above company continue to deliver desirable editions of worthy exploitation and cult titles i'll stay one happy bunny.

I think for acknowledged horror classics like Dawn & Day fans will want the best presentation of the films available, and that's Blu-ray at the moment. For lesser regarded films I think DVD is perfectly acceptable and cheaper! I still buy DVDs of movies when there are BD equivalents available. It all depends on how much I like the film or whether I just want to see a film and add it to my collection for posterity.I'm not going to fork out for a Blu-ray of a film I just want to watch, in my case that's what DVD is for.
