Thanks for the quick reply.

When I get the disc I´ll send you am e-mail.
Maybe I didn´t explain in a proprer way (sorry but english is not my main language) but you mentioned the word "swapping". If I get the correct version I don´t want to swap for the B/W. What I want is to get the incorrect disc so that I, as a collector, can have two versions of the film.

Thanks once again.

As the official statement said, it should take 21 days or less for the receipts to be processed and a replacement disc sent out. I don't have any information on whether the new discs have been pressed yet or not but, if you are still waiting in three weeks time, please send me a PM or e-mail (David@cult-labs.com).

Now, I'm further confused. Does this make three versions?

The review copy was B&W @ 7.7GB
The initial copies are B&W @ 22.6GB
The replacement copies are fixed @ ? GB (50GB or 25GB disc?)

The review copies had the feature only at 7.7 GB, the full disc size includes all the extras.

Ah, right. That makes sense.

I may have missed this but: I can't find anything about returning the B&W disc. Only about replacement being sent. Does this mean people will get to keep the faulty disc, or will arrow reply to your email with postage instructions

There is no need for you to return the disc. If you send a scan or forward the shipping confirmation e-mail to info@arrowfilms.com, a replacement disc will be sent to you. Please see the official announcement on the first page of this thread for more details.

It is difficult to be totally objective on this when you already know that the copy you are about to view has been crammed into a smaller than usual encode and is going to be replaced by a better encode on a larger disc.
That said I still found the detail to be soft and blurry at times and does not look terribly impressive. Sure it beats the hell out of previous DVD versions but does not quite meet the quality that most would expect visually from a Hi Def disc. Instead it sits somewhere between that of a DVD and a BD.

With a stronger video bitrate on the way then hopefully this issue will be put to bed.

Not sure if this has already been answered but how will people that don't read this forum be notified about the defective disc problem?
