I don´t know if the English rating is regarding the movie or the whole package. If it´s for the whole packagge, it could be because of some extras containing some footage of other movies that were rated that high...

I've never really had anything negative to say about an Arrow release, but this is completely unforgivable, especially as a 2.35:1 HD master is available. I honestly don't see many people buying this now. I know that I'll not watch Storaro's "last supper" version of Bird.

Oh dear, and I was really looking forward to this. Is it too late for Arrow to reconsider?

I shall hopefully have an answer to that sometime today.

It could be a U.S. packaging thing. Nearly every U.S. DVD/BD says somewhere on the back: special/bonus features not rated. Maybe it's not the same in the UK. I don't have as many to compare. I'm used to the rating only being associated with the feature.

Wow! Just wow, I can't believe it. Is there a rational explanation for releasing it this way? Surely Arrow can't see this as being a 'Unique' selling point?

There's no denying Storaro's talent as a DP, but why is it that he insists on approving compromised ratios?

The only way you could see Apocalypse Now in widescreen for years was via the transfer he supervised in the incorrect 2:1 ratio. Luckily that issue was corrected last year when the HD transfer was created for the US Blu-ray. But this new development would suggest he's up to his old tricks once more.

This really does baffle me.

Distributors should stop letting Storaro get near these things.
