The runtime of the NTSC AWE disc is 92:27.

The runtime of the Arrow PAL disc is 92:42.

I meant to put the original Last House on the Left is now uncut, not I Spit on Your Grave. Thanks for the spot -- I'll correct that as soon as I can.

That's now sorted -- sorry for any confusion.

When I have the time, I intend to review the 3 disc Ultimate Edition of The Last House on the Left and it will be pretty fresh as I haven't seen it for ages. It may seem slightly weird to compare such a notorious film and prominent 'video nasty' to Savage Streets, but they are both rape-revenge movies and were both cut by the BBFC on release before recently having those cuts waived.

PAL runtime of 92.27 would be 88.58.
Its 4% difference so 4% of 92.27 is not +15secs, PAL run times are slower then NTSC as its a speed up not speed down.

But he's stating the PAL runtime is almost the same as the NTSC runtime -- therefore something fishy is up with Arrow's transfer.

A NTSC-PAL conversion - if done properly, can look pretty good but if not then..

One of the reasons I'll actually stick to my AWE disc.
The main reason being... this is not a blu-ray!
