Default Pervert! – The Film Debate

What did you think of the film? Enjoyable trash? A well made homage to the sex comedies of the 1960s and '70s all Russ Meyer-lite?

Personally, I wouldn't pollute Meyer's good name with a comparison to this sexploitation film. I wasn't keen PERVERT! at all...but to each their own!

I agree - I found this really disappointing. Watching it brought to mind that - weirdly enough - Meyer's films are not at all VULGAR! This is.

Full of dumbass gross-out humour that Meyer wouldn't have touched, even in his later films.

My opinion on this film is best described as spam: Pervert! DVD Review | Digital Retribution

I dunno. I enjoyed Pervert! on a base level. I didn't really go into it with Russ Meyer in mind. Oddly, I just watched it for what it was and in doing so allowed the film to be a goofy, outlandish and gory good time.

However - if one wants to hold it up to Russ Meyer and play compare/contrast, well then, no wonder there's so much disappointment.
