Default The Kentucky Fried Movie – The Archive Conversation

A bargain bucket of classic comedy!

Welcome to Kentucky Fried Movie, the Citizen Kane of bad taste, gross out, screwball movies. This is the film that birthed a thousand low rent comedies, a million playground quotes and brought the ancient mysteries of Kung Fu to the West in the awe inspiring mini-movie, A Fistful of Yen.

Hollywood legends The Zucker Brothers (Airplane, Top Secret) team up with John Landis (An American Werewolf in London, The Blues Brothers) for an adults-only comedy trip through the worlds of advertising, TV, movies and, of course... SEX!

I’m not wearing any pants... Film at 11.

- Double-sided fold-out artwork poster

I literally only re-watched this just the other day. Such a fun film and easily one of my most watched. So many great sketches in this one - especially the home fragrance advert and not to mention the Death sketch!

"The popcorn you are eating has been pissed in. Film at 11."

It's not been long since I saw it and I really can't get enough of Catholic School Girls in Trouble and the absolutely superb A Fistful of Yen.

I'm really looking forward to going through the extra features, of which there are many, and watching it again.

Ooh yeah - such a dirty sketch that Catholic School Girls one I can still hear the narrator's voice - "More erotic than Deep Throat"

This is one of my favorite parts - I just luv the way the last woman delivers her line. Comedy gold!

It gets me EVERY time

You really can't - someone (Warner, ahem) should re-issue the Nighmare on Elm Street films with his UK poster art - they were excellent and haven't been seen here since the days of VHS.

Artwork is great, shame the film isn't.

I feel sorry for you the way I feel sorry for my mother - she can't laugh about that movie either.

But as far as I'm concerned:
That's what I call nice news! That's a release I'll buy on the day it comes out.

The movie is a real classic - like every movie with ZAZ involved.
And it is a real nice artwork indeed.

My favourite line: "I'm not wearing any pants. Film at eleven."
My favourite episode: "Rex Kramer, Danger Seeker" - black humour taken literally.

Greetings!

PS: Just read carefully and found out that Nos' original post and Arrow's advertisement(?) include my favourite line.
