Its a bad movie in a great way. I guess you could say its so bad its great. It also is my favorite slasher of all time. Its a fun film. It never takes itself serious at all. Just sit back and enjoy the silliness. It does have a great score by Harry Manfredini. Alot of homages to friday the 13th. And even a small cameo from Dick Randall.

It's fits nicely into the slew of cheesy slashers that populated the 1980s, and I do have a lot of fondness for the film. It is quite strange in some ways, plus pretty gory, but certainly better than some of the slashers that were released around the time.

Trailer: (Contains Spoilers!)

It's one of those films that is almost all about the death scenes, with one bizarre murder after another.

Here is one of the infamous death scenes:

SPOILER ALERT!

Will this be the R-Rated or the Unrated version of the film ... and since I already have the awesome German DVD by Cine Club - a Blu-ray would really be nice

None of these questions will be answered until after the bank holiday, but next week I'll hopefully have confirmation on:
Why there's no Blu-ray (my guess is the source material is good enough) and whether the film is the R rated or uncut version.

If you like your '80's slasherfests, then you'll like this.

Terry from Emmerdale with an American accent!

Another solid genre title from Arrow!

Very nice artwork indeed. Don't think I've actually seen Slaughter High, even though I used to see the vhs cover all the time back when I was a nipper.

I'm quite glad I haven't seen Slaughter High as it will be, like Savage Streets and vamp, something from the 1980s which has passed me by and I'll be able to watch without any preconceptions.

Cool package...but with Bryce's involvement you can count me out (there will of course be many sales lost with his inclusion)

"Slaughter High" is great "tongue-in-cheek"-slasher fun for those who don't need every stalkathon to be dead pan serious.
Cheesy as hell but really entertaining- neat bloodflow too.
