Midnight: The DVD Specs

Midnight... Time to Die!

http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/...compressed.jpg

From John A. Russo, author of Return of the Living Dead, comes Midnight, a sordid tale of young runaways, lecherous stepfathers and inbred Satanists.

Poor, poor Nancy..., Alone on the road, trying to hitch a ride to California to start a new life, away from the sleaze of her own family. Nancy hooks up with a pair of good natured petty crooks on a road trip to nowhere special. Then things take a dark turn when her friends are iced by a pair of backwoods cops.

Now, Nancy is in danger of being sacrificed to Satan himself by the wayward lawmen and their twisted siblings, in an insane attempt to resurrect their mother’s mummified corpse.

A startling and shocking adventure as three kids take a strange detour to the land of the LIVING DEAD!

I own Lionsgate's R1 DVD but will still go for Arrow's equivalent for the superior effort in evidence. The latter release is also bound to have a better sleeve than the dire design the U.S. edition is saddled with.

There appears to be no theatrical trailer on Arrow's DVD and i can't recall if the Lionsgate contribution boasts one. If it does, that's the only reason i'll be holding on to the R1 release.

It'd be nice to see Intervision's ancient pre-cert artwork make it as a cover on Arrow's edition but only time will tell, i guess.:)

Never heard of this before.

It sounds interesting, however it only gets 3.7 / 10 on IMDB .

I'd never heard of Midnight until I was given the information to make this announcement. Like you, I think it sounds interesting and a potentially fun horror film but I have long learned never to trust user ratings at the IMDb as they occasionally indicate some dreadful films are really good and vice versa.

You've properly noticed there isn't any artwork (or even a named artist) as yet but, as soon as it's available, I'll post it so you can all give your opinions.

Is it going to be the full uncut that will be going to the BBFC? There are quite a few versions of this floating around that are missing stuff.

I'm not sure. August is quite a while off and which version to have is one of many things to be decided before the finished product hits the shelves.

Needless to say, I'll keep you informed as best I can and pass any questions and queries you have onto Arrow who will provide answers, using me as their unofficial spokesperson, when they know them.

Thank you sir!

If its not an uncut version, it will be a pointless release.
