This is one terrible terrible movie! Hatchet was a classic .. Hatchet 2 is just silly.

Too true and i would assume Arrow are aware of this and would surely go for the complete cut of the film. If not, i'll have to rethink those HMV pre-orders. After all, Dark Sky's U.S. release features the full version.

I haven't seen the first one, but it's on its way from Play.com. It was only cheap, but I'd still like to be able to say 'it's worth every penny'!

The script and dialogue is spot on Nos. Hatchet came at a time when we needed something a little different. Very very well made indeed. Anyone who loves retro slashers will really see that this was made with heart. Enjoy! I think he went too far with part 2, and just tried to top the gore .. forgetting about the heart that was in part 1. Shame.

As a big fan of Hatchet I was really looking forward to this. But I was disappointed. The fans in the cinema loved it, but I thought it lacked the geniune wit of the first.

Since Rodriguez and Tarantino's Grindhouse the market was filled to bursting with retro slashers, but when Hatchet was released, it was something completely different (as the poster tagline made it clear) and welcome.

The Blu-Ray features are great though. Any chance of a Region B release of Hatchet?

P.S: Thanks to everyone who welcomed me to Cult-Labs when I joined and apologies for not getting touch sooner.

I think the blu-ray may have been mis-priced at HMV, it's currently £6.99 to pre-order. Which makes it cheaper than the DVD version. They possibly won't honour it, but just incase, if anyone is interested: Link.

Hey, it's worth a shot -- what's the worst that can happen?!
