Default Maniac Cop – The Archive Conversation

Police brutality never felt so good!

Notorious video nasty creator William Lustig and B-Movie legend Larry Cohen return to the dirty streets for a unique high speed collision of the slasher movie and police thriller in Maniac Cop, a blood splattered tale of brutal cop vengeance from beyond the grave.

When reports come in of a man in a police uniform committing gore drenched bloody murder on the city streets, officer Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) stands accused. Now, with few friends, powerful enemies and a psychopathic slayer still at large, it’s up to Jack to prove he’s not guilty and bring down the killer.

Now, Arrow video brings the Maniac Cop back from the 80s video vault to stalk the night time streets once more, looking for fresh victims...

Specifications preview!
- Includes collector’s booklet by Troy Howarth, plus new video interviews with stars Tom Atkins, Laurene Landon and writer Larry Cohen!

Stay tuned to the official Arrow Forum as there's more to be revealed...

That makes (at least) two of us as I'm not yet privy to the details so I'm really looking forward to making the announcement as I'll then know what goodies Arrow have in store for us!

Amazing! Brilliant news. I'm genuinely ecstatic. I didn't think we'd hear about Arrow's next blu-ray release until July, when you announced Septembers releases! Very happy indeed, I love Maniac Cop, great film, and I'm very much looking forward to this release. Great art from Rick too.

Official announcements are usually made on the last Friday of every month, and there will be one on June 25, but this news was never going to remain a secret until then as Frightfest is on. We therefore thought it best to give you guys a sneak preview of what's to come with some information and artwork rather than have word of the release trickle through on the grapevine.

Fantastic news this and count me in for double DVD and BR copies of MC. I'm looking forward to a new and improved U.K. lifeline for Matt Cordell (Optimum's original effort wasn't exactly outstanding.) and here's hoping Arrow come up with some tantalising new extras apart from the fresh interviews initially mentioned. Such an exciting announcement makes yours truly wonder if maybe the second and third MC outings could be on Arrow's agenda sooner or later. Let's hope so!
