Default ArrowDrome – The Launch Party!

Arrow Video is growing! In September 2011 Arrow Video's kid brother, ARROWDROME launches with a slice of cult films in new editions. Following Arrow Video's stylish design, these bitesize editions feature reversible sleeve artwork and booklets about the film and filmmakers, ARROWDROME editions are an easy and affordable way to expand your cult film library. Forthcoming releases include films by Juan Fortuny, James Glickenhaus, Dario Argento and more!

The stylish artwork will feature different colours for different genres so you can arrange your collection accordingly.

To kick things off, ArrowDrome's first releases will be in the horror and action genres with:

The Man with the Severed Head

and McBain

Forthcoming releases will have a yellow logo for gialli and pink for erotic titles (and possibly a couple more), but those will be announced in the next few months, so there are exciting times ahead!

The RRP for each title will be £9.99.

If you want to pre-order these, they are available for £6.99 each from arrowfilms.co.uk.

McBain

The Man With the Severed Head

Nice to see Arrow growing. Not too keen on the artwork though. That's not to say that I won't get these. Just trying to think what the Argento title (or titles could be).

Fantastic news!

This is a great idea by Arrow, in my opinion. Hopefully this will bring plenty of cult movies to the attention of the casual buyer on a budget. I'm really liking the style of these releases too; very eye-catching.

Plus, I'm looking forward to plenty of yellow logoed titles.

Yes, I agree that the artwork isn't fantastic, but the overall package looks good. I'm looking forward to getting one in my hands to have a look for myself!

What will the RRPs be for these?

So hopefully we'll see some of the Arrow budget range suggestions in here?

I don't have any information beyond what you see here and those two releases for September. Everything (confirmed titles, extra features, booklet authors, RRP, release dates etc) will be confirmed as and when the news comes from Arrow HQ so, as always, watch this space!

Here's hoping!

Get those suggestions in though folks - you can never have too many recommendations in my opinion.
