Default Deep Red (ArrowDrome) - Official Thread

Deep Red (ArrowDrome)

Flesh ripped clean from the bone… And the blood runs red…

The bloody kills and red herrings come thick and fast as Dario Argento weaves a twisted web of sadistic intrigue in this classic Giallo from the genres golden era.

A black gloved killer hacks a psychic to death but there was a witness… Marcus Daly, an English pianist, rushes to the scene but he’s too late to save her. He sets out to solve the murder but at every turn the mysterious slayer strikes, cutting off each line of enquiry with acts of grisly violence, each more shocking than the last! A surreal masterpiece from Dario Argento with a pounding score from cult prog rockers Goblin, Deep Red will leave you battered and breathless!

ARROWDROME IS A FLEAPIT SELECTED LIBRARY OF CULT FILMS; VIOLENT, HORRIFIC, SLEAZY, EXPLOITATIVE. TO EXPLORE STEP IN TO THE CULT ARENA! EVERY ARROWDROME RELEASE INCLUDES A REVERSIBLE SLEEVE OF ORIGINAL ARTWORK AND A COLLECTOR’S BOOKLET!

A decent cover design there but the lack of actual Red colouring seems a tad strange to me. Still, i'll be sticking with Arrow's initial DVD and BR releases.

Thats horrible. Its called Deep Red you know. I appreciate yellow is the colour of the range, but it should have some red on it.

I've liked the Arrowdrome covers till now. Sorry not this though.

I quite like it. It reminds me of an old pulp paperback from the '50s.

Nice.

The lack of red agrees with me.

That makes two of us. I hope that the team back at headquarters have been having a look at the budget range suggestions on this forum as there are many, many films on it that I would love to see released on the Arrowdome label.

Tbh, the wording on the sticker (?) advertising it also being on blu-ray, could confuse some buyers. People may think these dvds are loaded with special features.

I really like the cover design as it is like the original pulp novels which were termed giallo because of their yellow covers. If you want something that practically defines the giallo, it's Deep Red.
