Arrow are putting a great deal of time and effort into this release and, to use their words, "ours will look stunning".
I got the German Blu-Ray as I couldn't wait to get it in HD. Got nice detail, and a good clean up on the dirt, but the colour is a bit on the pink side. The titles are badly transferred. The worst part is the sound, which I think they boosted the volume too much and it distorts all the time. More so than the DVD I've got, which still isn't great.

So if those are sorted I'll buy it!

It's unbelievable that all those hellraisers together in Africa didn't raise hell!

In saying that,Richard Burton 'wasn't quite himself' by then.

Some of the substitute dialogue in this one was comparable with the Scarface TV version....

The official announcement says region B, so I'm thinking that like the new Who Dares Wins disc, this will indeed be region B only.

this isnt really a spoiler.....

my favourite bit in TWG is the part where Burton & Harris are drinking in Burton's(?) flat and dick says to dick "what do you think of the wine?" "it's awful!" to which RB replies "want some more?" ahem. considering their appetites, i still think this is one of the great movie injokes....
