I suspect it must be the replacement stock issue but have passed this on.

Yup - it's replacement stock - this is now on the way to Amazon and should be sorted asap. Arrow would of course like to pass on their apologies for any delay.

They had one copy in my local HMV which I picked up today. The package is fantastic! A poster, a booklet, post cards (cant decide whether to open them or keep them shrik wrapped) and two disc!! Definitely worth the 12.99 I paid for this and that's without even watching the film.

The question, being a Martin virgin, is should I watch it in 16:9 or 4:3? Or should I watch the italien cut first?

What is the general consensus on this?

Watch it in it's original cut and aspect ratio first I'd think (4x3 & US cut) why would you want to do otherwise?

Definitely watch the American version first, in 4:3 and with stereo sound, not the 5.1 surround. Then go for the commentary and the Italian version.

I don't believe bad stock was ever received on this one.

Good to know. I guess it's a good thing that they never received enough stock, then, to keep up with the pre-orders
