well i just watched the bfi's blu's of pasolini's life trilogy complete with intermissions and i don't see how it ruins anything. i like how quality blu rays of old films can feel like a cinema experience so it wont bother me.
i do hope there isn't another sh*t storm surrounding this release, some dnr or other nonsense. those whacky italians seem to like selling dubious prints and that hasnt been too good for arrow.
i've got them preordered anyway, i'm very exited as anything's gonna improve over my old vhs copies.

Yeah, I remember when I saw "Gremlins 2" in the theaters, and that scene with the film melting, thanks to the Gremlins, surprised most of us. Good fun!

"Nudie, nudie, nudie!!"

Sadly the video version of the gag ,with the tape breaking, was a huge let down in comparision.

Well, I agree!
I was a bit confused about it but now I guess it's ok

I don't even recall that! Which I guess means I can more than live with it.

Hopefully both films will ship on Wednesday, and they'll arrive in time for the weekend. Going to be a crazy week, Demons & Demons II, Tourist Trap, and my order from Axel's Free Shipping sale should arrive this week.

The region locking forced me to cancel. I'm sad, I was really looking forward to replacing my AB US DVDs.

Apart from better picture on the blu-ray versions, will the special features of Demons and Demons 2 be the same across the DVD and blu-ray version?

Yes. Irrespective of whether you buy the Steelbook, or the seperate Blu-Ray and/or DVD releases, you will get ALL of the extras.

The only difference, is that the Steelbook won't include the DEMONS 3 comics, that are included in the standard DVD and Blu-Ray releases.

That's odd.

I believe the version screened at Manchester was from the bluray, and that wasn't in it.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm, decions, decisions... I'm really in a quandary over which version to get. I'm going for the two separate releases rather than the steelbook, that's all I've decided. The blu-ray versions would look better, but I can use the DVD versions on more different pieces of equipment (DVD-player, computer etc).
