With just over a month left until the release of the much anticipated realease of Arrow Video's The Deadly Spawn, you may wish to take a cheeky sneak-peak at the fantastic artwork for this release. Loving this artwork. One of Rick's best I reckon.

Ladies and gentlemen of all things cult, take a look at this incredible front panel for Arrow's upcoming Deadly Spawn release. Easily one of their best original covers in my opinion. What's your thoughts?

For one reason or another, Arrow have decided to use Rick's artwork rather than the other. Personally, I really really like this one :nod:

Ah cool, was just curious. I like Rick's artwork too - looks tremendous. I'm probably goign to have to draw a bare breast on it at some point though. Y'know, for continuity.

I really like the new artwork, I do actually like it more than the artwork they originally posted, it seems more suited and representative of the film. However, it's a shame the original artwork posted will go to waste, as it's quite great too, perhaps a little too classy for the film.

The new artwork is okay, it's certainly better than the other cover that was gonna be used.Neither match the Synapse DVD's artwork though.

I was wondering about the new artwork if Rick had a say in the title font, which wasn't part of the original cover design? It's a shame that it doesn't blend that well with the painting, looks a little like a pasted-on afterthought to me, but that's just me being picky again :loco: . . .

I actually thought the opposite about the title blending in. Ah well, we're all different.

Just spotted the font is pretty much cut and pasted from that cool earlier poster (at the top of this page), which seems a little lazy. Let the artist do the font sez I... !

My copy of The Deadly Spawn arrived from HMV this morning, so here's a little peek at the reverse artwork.

Is there more than one edition of this out from Arrow? Or is it just some have the one double-sided cover reversed?

I don't know. I join the forum and of my first three posts two of them are complete nonsense and have to be redacted.

It was not 'The Deadly Spawn' I noticed with an alternative cover it was 'Street Trash'. It is just the reverse side of the standard sleeve.

I wouldn't worry about it, most of us talk nonsense all the time :)
