Default Will there be a Blu-ray?

Deadly Spawn has been released on US BD just a few days ago ... will Arrow also put out a BD or just a DVD?

I intend to order the U.S. TDS BR a.s.a.p. but would still shell out for an Arrow HD edition.

I've had this on order since announced.
Still no sign of it being shipped.

From Axel?

I e-mailed them on Saturday asking why it hadn't shipped yet and this is the response I got today:

I have just looked quite thoroughly into this and it appears that our suppliers still haven't received any copies. Furthermore, other big name retailers have it listed as 'out of stock' which usually, when it's a newly released title, that they haven't received any copies either.

I'm not certain what exactly is going on with this title but it's more than likely that the release has been pushed back. We hope they start shipping this out soon so we can have your copy sent to you as soon as possible.

WARNING!!! Stay away from the Elite Blu-Ray!!!

It´s an crappy SD to 1080i upscale, drenched with DNR to cover up the horrible artifacts.

I imagine we could be in a situation similar to Arrow's The House By The Cemetery. This title arrived on DVD first in the MOG range, then an Arrowdrome incarnation came later and now we have the BR edition slashing it's way onto the shelves shortly.

Maybe Arrow are waiting to see how well TDS sells in SD before deciding whether or not to initiate an HD release? I'd like to think so.

That is pretty bad. The close-up shot of the hand looks so smeary.

Yeah, the Synapse DVD looks way better than this crap. Too bad Synapse didn´t get the chance to do the BD instead...

Phew! Thanks for posting those Steel; luckily my BD hasn't shipped yet so have managed to cancel my order.

The BD hasn't shipped for many of you because apparently it sold out so quickly that stocks only lasted for a short time. But more's on the way.

BTW: I take those screenshots as a "no, there won't be a blu-ray from Arrow" ... and that would be the best (e.g. only) possible decision. Nobody needs HD transfers that look like this.
