Default The Beyond (did you know)

I watched the film last night. Yeah its awesome, and Arrow did the best job I have ever seen. Anyway to the point. The sentences 'seven door hotel' and seven gates of hell' kept getting repeated and like kevin bacon in Stir of Echoes' I kept asking myself where the hell have I heard this line. So I went through my records, thinking Ive seen the film one hundred times, its just stuck in my head...then I found it in the form of one of my favorite rock bands Europe...and there song Seven Door Hotel.

Seven Doors Hotel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its a great song and worth checking out anyway, but nice to hear a band inspired by a great movie...

Nice detective work! I had no idea Joey Tempest liked Fulci but i guess every young swede watched those "forbidden" films in the early 80's.

Saw 'Europe' on the last date of the British tour, back in 1993 I think

The played this song, complete with over-the-top lighting effects and many explosions

I went along, expecting them to be a very light-weight 'pop/rock' band, but left the show being pleasantly surprised at just how heavy and metal they were!

Yeah once you get past the 'final countdown' thang, then they did have some great rock songs. I expect songs like 'future to come' and 'ninja' to sound heavier when played live. Haven't seen them live, but would love too. I know they did a tour for the latest album 'long way from eden' but I heard about it too late.

The first two Europe albums, the self titled and Wings of tomorrow, are the best ones. They are a bit heavier and have a touch of N.W.O.B.H.M. sound to them
