Also, when I checked earlier, the new Hammer titles, Reptile and Plague of the Zombies, are £13.99 each.

thatgothguy 4th April 2012 03:25 PM

Has anyone ordered slip boxes off HMV before? Just wondering if the card packaging they ship in would be safe for a slip box.

Baseball Fury 4th April 2012 03:33 PM

They do slide around a little bit, but I think 13 of my Arrow BD's, plus MoC steelbooks and other stuff have been from HMV and I've never had a damaged one

From what I remember, last time I ordered from them the packaging was similar to amazon/play.com/zavvi etc, so I think they'll be fine

darthelvis 4th April 2012 03:36 PM

What a legend! Great spot all ordered.

antmumford 4th April 2012 03:38 PM

Forbidden Zone is also £11.99

Can I just clarify (I know it's not the right thread) but are the following the only ones left that will be Limited Edition with slipboxes?:

Demons
Demons 2

House by the Cemetery
and
Forbidden Zone

Baseball Fury 4th April 2012 03:53 PM

Haha, I forgot all about Forbidden Zone!

Vampix 4th April 2012 07:20 PM

Some nice prices there, I'm going to pre-order my HBTC and Demons 1 & 2 BDs from HMV too.

Me too as I still haven't upgraded from VHS!

gummysubstance 4th April 2012 09:20 PM

These are phenominal prices considering how much other prices have been bumped up (now that the tax loophole has been filled).

Tombsy666 4th April 2012 09:31 PM

very reasonable indeed,so i've ordered HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY LTD ED, DEMONS 1 & 2 & RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, a good selection here can't wait to see them again...

Stephen@Cult Labs 4th April 2012 10:24 PM

Already had House By The Cemetery, Demons, Demons 2 and the steelbook on pre-order, so just tool advantage of the low prices and pre-ordered King Of New York, KONY steelbook, Forbidden Zone, Who Dares WIns, and The Wild Geese. Thank god I've been saving up some money!

wayfarer 4th April 2012 11:05 PM

Thanks for the info! I've preordered the HBTC Blu (even tho I own the BU disc), Demons (Teh steelbox sure looks nice but I frickin hate Demons 2) and ROTLD:clap:

ansaw 5th April 2012 11:21 AM

It looks like Amazon have matched those prices........

PaulD 5th April 2012 11:32 AM

HMV usually get them out before the release date unlike Amazon so I'll stick with the former personally.

the blob 5th April 2012 11:33 AM

I'm actually tempted to go with Amazon. I've ordered with HMV but the way their site has been behaving I can half see them turning round and cancelling as misprices... Maybe I'll order from both and see what's happening later!

Amazon is good for me. Cheaper shipping and no VAT. Guess all the cancellations musta hurt 'em.
Edit: Preordered HBTC unlimited and limited. Hope they drop the price on the unlimited, too. If not I'll be getting the limited.

Now that is good news for me, because I do not have to do a thing and get the same price too, thanks to the low price preorder thingie they offer at amazon. It is better for me too, as I am always worried when certain films are sent to me (aka: films banned here) and amazon does not go through customs :woot:

Sarah@Cult Labs 6th April 2012 09:59 AM

Moved this to News & Events along with other details on special Arrow sales/bargains as I thought it might be a more appropriate place. :)

Talking of Arrow pre-order bargains, I'm surprised noone mentioned the Lady Snowblood steelbook going down to £17.99 at Amazon...

Lady Snowblood / Lady Snowblood 2 Limited Edition SteelBook Dual Format Edition DVD + Blu-Ray 1973: Amazon.co.uk: Film & TV

gummysubstance 21st May 2012 04:53 PM

Really want this, especially at the price! Thinking HMV though, for despatch...(lets hope they too, lower their price.)

Damn! Was going to pre-order this but it's gone back up in price now! :(
The release is still a long while off yet, so think I'll wait and keep on eye on the prices in the hope it drops down again...
