Yes, but they didn´t tell us in that confirmation that they actually did it in London and not over in Italy, plus we also got confirmation that BU actually DIDN´T use a source directly from the nagatives. PLUS we now also got the info that it will have a High bitrate

in comparision to what was told last week:
"our release is scanned from the original negative and will display a greater sharpness and quality, as well as more picture information, than any other release previously available. We are entering final stages of our restoration now and hope to be unveiling more info and pictures soon."

Same here. The extras on the BU disc are great.

Got this answer from Arrow about if they actually DO use a different souce from the BU disc:

"There's only one negative, the BU disc likely came from a secondary source like an Internegative or Interpositive, as is usual for many Blu-rays. Ours come from the actual original camera negative so will have greater definition and sharpness. High bit rate and top notch restoration in London (no Italian DNR meddling)."

Directly from the negative, high bitrate, and no noise and digital tamperings.
If this becomes as great as it sounds, then it´s gonna be a serious middlefinger to BU´s mediocre and digitally molested transfer

I hope this is the dawn of a brand new future for italian movies on Blu-ray, free of that LVR video noise

Finally one of my absolute favorite horror moives of all time, is gonna get the transfer it deserves

This is gonna be me until the disc arrives
According to a video on youtube from BU, theirs was from the negative.

Well, it could have been ANYTHING on that negative running through that machine.
Or they just let it run through it just for show

If it truly IS from the negatives, it´s the most mediocre 2K restoration in history

I think that it is also worth noting that BU claimed that their release of Deep Red was from the original negatives. The reality indicated otherwise..... If the Licencor is saying that BU did not use the negatives then I am inclined to believe them frankly.
