A potentially silly question depending on the answer, but: If the film was sourced from the original negative, what is the source for the three different openings?

Presumably the original negative would have only come with one opening attached?

Agreed. I'm more than happy with Arrow's release of The Beyond. As for DNR, well, I think ZFE has proved how misleading this can be. The reviewer over at AVForums thought a little DNR had been applied when actually none whatsoever had been applied. So us viewers aren't always clued up as to what's been done to a transfer.

There is a bit of DNR and noise on the "Beyond" disc. But faaaaaar from excessive like on 95 procent of those italian transfers

The only problem I have with the "Beyond" disc, is that they went a little bit too far when they darkened the picture for the corrected disc, leading to some black crush in the dark scenes. But it´s still pretty damned good

Glad it didn´t get the "Tenebre" treatment. That would have been heartbreaking

I'm so glad Arrow's Blu-ray transfer looks set to be a stunner. If only to p!ss off a certain person who regularly posts on SGM and YouTube and seems to enjoy rubbishing every Arrow release. This person even accused me of not knowing what I was talking about when I said I was glad that Arrow was giving us the option of having the movie's three titles to choose from (with the UK title Zombie Flesh-Eaters being the best IMO).
