The videos don't play, not for me, anyway. This is why I no longer post vids, they won't play so there's no point. I'm sure I've missed some good films too because the promo videos/trailers that are put up for promotion don't play, so I don't even bother trying to play them anymore.

Mr. Jones should be ashamed! This could've been such a great surprise with a huge build-up.

Mind you, it is rather fantastic news! We've been waiting ages for Arrow to do this here and they finally have! Horaaay! I hope it's one heck of a package - maybe a steelbook. Anything that screams this is a special release.

As much as I like Blu-Rays, I'm still hoping for a superb DVD release - and not for it to just be shoved off onto Arrowdrome for its DVD release.

Such awesome news!

Jizz.

Alas, there was nothing to be enlightened by in that second video. No new information, no compelling arguments.

I didn't watch more than six minutes of the first video because it was just awful and unbearable.

Agreed. Arrow could have really built the hype with this title and got everyone eager with anticipation as to what the next 'big' title was going to be. Instead we have some half-baked journo spilling the beans because he feels it's his right to break the news first - and I presume it gives him some sense of over-inflated self worth.

Suggestion to Arrow: don't let Jones near any of your releases ever again. What he knows any self-respecting genre fan would know anyway, so it's not as if he has exclusive knowledge or a mediumistic line of communication with Fulci. I'd rather see Kim Newman engaged to do commentaries, he's much more fun to listen to. Jones is dry, pseudo-academic and dull as dishwater IMO.

Or, as the guy in that second clip says...."embrace the film grain".

I expect to see a healthy dose of "natural" grain on Arrow's Zombie Flesh Eaters blu-ray.
Steel76, LoBo and ReturnToZero like this.

I agree with Stephen - I don't want my films to be Predatorised!

And reading Alan's Tweet again, I realise he hasn't even recorded the commentary yet. Maybe he shouldn't be allowed to now. Get Kim Newman in, as I previously suggested, instead. That might teach him to keep his gob shut in future.

If Alan is reading this: I never listen to your commentaries anyway, that's how insignificant you are.

And I too still feel animosity towards him over his uncaring and uncharitable remarks about Ingrid Pitt when she died.

They don't have to be! But a bit of a wash and brush-up is a very welcome thing! You can leave a bit of designer stubble if you must!

If you scrub away the grain you remove fine detail. I therefore assume you'd complain when you see films projected in 35mm at the cinema that have film grain?

I think what's really needed within the industry is a new technique for HD that allows them remove the grain but leave the fine detail intact. There has to be a way this can achieved, surely?
