Yeah - it would be nice for all artwork to fit into the borders - the second picture looks so much better for it. I'd also like the Vipco logo to be edited out..

You'd have to crop the image to hell in order to do that though - then Arrow would get blasted all over again by the poster purists . . .

You wouldn't have to crop them at all. Just put a coloured/black border around the poster artwork, like A Bay Of Blood.

To get the artwork to fit into the whole of the window box borders you'd have to crop it. Does adding a bit of black border make much difference? It's still a thin slip of rectangular artwork within a square . . .

Well, obviously to get it to fill the window you'd have to crop it, but we don't want that, and as for a border making much difference, It does actually, just look at the US poster for Red Scorpion, and the UK Vamp artwork. Very thin, and don't look nice when displayed. So yes, a border does make a difference, and others seem to agree.

Hmmm I can't find those examples you mentioned, but you sound confident enough. I'm not a fan of the whole window box slipcase setup in general, so it makes little difference to me how the artwork is presented. 99% of the time, the spine is all I'll see of it anyhoo . . .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original "vipco" artwork was taken from the old UK cinema quad was it not? In which case the artwork for the DVD case COULD have been extended to fit the border, couldn't it?

Here's Vamp, and here's Bay Of Blood (that Arrow put a border around).

That vipco VHS was how I first acquainted myself with this fine film... Love the artwork choices. This release is going to be the bees bollocks, I can feel it

And I'm up for a border too, looks more pro
