As there are three titles with the same director there must be something they know will sell. Therefore we can exclude the great Mattei, D'Amato etc..

Well, I have 2000+ DVD's in my collection (seriously!), and when the day comes and I DO upgrade to a Blu-Ray player...I won't be able to afford to re-buy the movies!

You won't need to with these new releases 'cause of dual format!

With the three films by one director, I'm gonna take a punt at

- Bone
- God Told Me To
- Q: The Winged Serpent

By the brilliant Larry Cohen

I saw High Rising do some Larry interviews as part of the Maniac Cop blu, so that sowed the seed of some Cohen goodness heading our way.

That said... it could be 3 Cohen rarities !

- Return To Salem's Lot ?
- Wicked Stepmother ?
- Special Effects ?
Baseball Fury and platostotal like this.

I'd love to see some Cohen on the Arrow Video label.

One that hasn't been mentioned so far (I think), is Black Caesar: A personal favourite, and it would make a nice addition to Arrow's very thin Blaxploitation section on ArrowDrome, too.

I agree, its sequel too.

I have the Soul Cinema editions of those, and his commentaries are great.

In fact you could play a great drinking game with LC's comms... e.g

"We shot this scene in my house"
"This exterior was filmed without a permit"
"I shot the whole movie for half the budget... !"

etc
etc

Rather see the second three you listed than the former. Return To Salem's Lot especially.

yeah, I have a weak spot for that. So much so I picked up the Warner Archive edition of it recently. It grows on you with each viewing.

I have yet to grab any warner archives because I hate the thought of buying a bare bones burn from a company. If I spend the money to support a film I really like to it at least look like they took an effort.lol

Maybe Warner Archives now has features and are labeled.Do you know if they do now?

That's a fair point. They're still, as far as I know, pretty bare bones - and not cheap to boot. I'm really impressed with some of the transfers admittedly, and feel that's worth paying a premium for.
