God, all this nagging about the dual formats.

It might be the only way that Arrow can afford to release a movie like this on both formats.

And when the days comes the DVD player dies, it would be foolish to not buy a cheap BD player instead, IF standalone DVD players even exist by then. The upscaled DVD´s will look awesome, and you can then also enjoy those BD discs that came with the dual editions.

I think the point is that some people just don't want to go Blu, and we should respect their decision and reasons behind this. I'll admit that I was in no great rush to either and have only had a Blu Ray player for around 14 months now

Sure, but if they hate the BD disc so much, they can just throw it away

I´m just getting tired of all the nagging when this is the only way for Arrow, and other labels to put out titles like this on both formats.

I see where you're coming from, from a business perspective it probably makes more sense to release the films in this way than to release separate editions and risk one those formats not selling too well, so for me I think its a good idea if they do it like this, that gives them more opportunities to carry on doing what they're doing.
But from a DVD only buyers perspective, I can see why people are annoyed about paying a bit more for a disc they may or may not use and not having the option of DVD only, I know I wouldn't buy any dual formats if I knew I wouldn't ever watch the BD's

The films in question have all had dvd releases with the same chat tracks so in this case i'm not sure why people would moan about the dual format releases.

If Arrow released them as dvd's i wouldn't get them as i already have them in the two Bava Anchor Bay sets.

..............

A slightly worrying thought - AB in the UK only released the first set, poor sales prevented them from releasing the second set, why will these releases appeal to more people?

Maybe Arrow should just release films on DVD then. After all, that would save money, wouldn't it!

Spoken just like someone who has money!!!!

OK Mr 76. I accept your proposal, and I am more than willing to let you buy me the discs, and then I will happily throw the Blu-Ray versions away - alternately, you can buy them off me!

I'm gonna pass on the dual-formats, much as I want the Bava films. I have no Blu-Ray player, don't want to pay the extra, and the cases look different.

I like Dual Format.
Not a lot here for me this time but for people who collect some of these titles I am sure its gangbusters.

For those interested I just put up the three Scream! Factory titles that were announce this morning and havent been on dvd before :-)

Or why not the other way around, just put them on BD.
Since you guys hate dual format and are not gonna buy them, then the DVD is just going to waste then
