Yeah, I hate having to pay through the nose for a DVD that I'm never going to use. I just want the damn blu-ray.

I sympathize, but I also have health problems, no job AND NO MONEY AT ALL COMING IN. I am living on my ever diminishing savings

Since you guys hate dual format and are not gonna buy them, then the DVD is just going to waste then
Not really, because if they were just put on DVD, then I will buy them. Surely you are not suggesting that you will not buy a film for the simple reason it is only available on DVD and not Blu-Ray?

Again, this is my point

What is the reasoning behind dual format releases when you are only likely to want one format?

Hell, no I still collect and watch DVD all the time, and if it´s ONLY avalible on DVD, I still buy it, but if there is a choice for a BD, then I´ll gladly pay the extra for it. Even though I might have to drop a title from the list to afford it.

Actually a girl, but yes we are

Apologies if I have possibly come across as offensive or confrontational in this thread, but it is something that I feel strongly about - why should I end up buying a film on a format that I have no way of actually enjoying

Sorry, I forgot to check the name

I´m sorry as well, I so damn passionate about this hobby that I sometimes forget to actually step back and think about it, and might come across as rude at times, even though I don´t mean to

...or they could take the DVDs out of the dual format packaging, give them a nice DVD sleeve in a proper DVD case, and sell them to those of us who want them.
