Black Sunday is a must for me,along with Django prepare a coffin, Dead-In Drive-In and after checking it out I'll be picking up my third copy of lisa and the devil/house of exorcism.

Not a huge fan of the last film I listed but I am a Bava fan.

Does anyone have the R2 Anchor Bay boxset from a few years back? I watched The Mask of Satan from this set last night. Is this strictly the European version? It's dubbed entirely in English and features at least one of the changes that's meant to be in the AIP cut?

I have the R1 and, if I'm not mistaken, there was some controversy because AB announced it as having the AIP cut included, but didn't in the end.

Great looking slate of releases there, for anyone who has not seen the Django film, it is certainly one of the most enjoyable of the genre films and well worth watching - my review of the old German DVD Django Prepare a Coffin

The Bava films are going to be interesting to see as well, I have been waiting forever to get an English subtitled Italian audio track on La Maschera del Demonio and getting to see the AIP version will be a treat. I have got every Bava film reviewed at my site if you want to know more about them - Mario Bava biography.

BBFC guidelines do allow HC in 18 films, more and more are being passed these days. As long as it is not a sex work and the scenes are not there for the sole purpose of titillation.

Baise Moi - I very much doubt the BBFC will be prepared to pass a hardcore rape - even 10 years on, although the additional video cut will probably be waived. All 2 seconds of it.

Amazon finally price matched HMV for both Black Sunday and Lisa And The Devil. £13 each now . £16.09 for each seemed a bewildering price. Their Django Prepare a Coffin price is pretty high too, at £9.70, hopefully they'll price match it to HMV too, and it will be £5.
