Default Arrow's Q1 2013 Announcements!

Hi everyone,

Who'd like to see what Arrow has in store for you at the beginning of the new year? Well, here's all the new, and very exciting, planned releases....

Django Prepare a Coffin (ArrowDrome) DVD

Django the drifter returns in this classic Sixties Spaghetti Western from Ferdinando Baldi (Texas Addio, Comin’ At Ya!), starring Terence Hill (They Call Me Trinity) as the wandering gunslinger, hired as executioner to a corrupt local politician who is framing innocent men, sending them to hang in an evil scheme to take hold of their land.

But Django has other ideas and, cleverly faking the deaths of the condemned men, he assembles them into a loyal gang who’ll help him take down the boss, a man who had a hand in the death of Django’s wife years before.

Thrill as Django gets his bloody revenge with a hail of bullets in this classic from a series of B-movie westerns that helped to define a genre. Prepare your coffin now!

Lisa and the Devil (Arrow Video) Dual Format

EVERY CORNER OF THE SOUL IS LOST TO THE ICY CLUTCH OF THE SUPERNATURAL!

The Son of the Countess notices Lisa’s striking resemblance to his dead lover and pursues her as a night of murder, strange eroticism and dark hallucinations begins.

Re-cut in the US to cash in on the popularity of William Friedkin’s The Exorcist and released as The House of Exorcism (included in this special edition) the original Lisa & the Devil is Bava at his abstract and delirious best, delivering a 70s horror classic and a masterclass in cinema as feverish nightmare.

Dead-End Drive In (ArrowDrome) DVD

The price of admission is the rest of your life...

Transfers pending, the 2 Bava release look to be much better than the Redemption releases. They even have the Tim Lucas commentary

Oh and just to reiterate what I said in the teaser thread I'm really looking forward to these! Will probably give the 3 erotic ones a go, will definitely get the Bavas and Arrowdrome titles. The only one that doesn't interest me is Baise Moi (and possibly upgrading Deadly Blessing)

Oh and the artwork is top!

Very happy with those Bavas, will be getting the LE editions.

Edit: noticed they're already up for pre-order, hope they will last a while because I can't afford both right now. I hate Arrow for immediately charging pre-orders.

Pretty overjoyed with the releases personally. The packages they've put together with the Bava releases sound amazing. I think it was definitely the right decision for me to wait. After a wobbly 2012 from Arrow (for me personally, at least), this is a great start to 2013.

Like I said yesterday when we figured out the titles, I'm happy with these announcements and will be picking them all up except the Metzger's and Baise Moi. Those Bava releases look like fantastic packages, especially Black Sunday which could trump ZFE as Arrows best upcoming release

Now, does anybody want to buy one of my kidneys
