I see. So in order for the HS scene's to have remained untouched, it would have to have been passed with an R18. Well that would sure damage sale's, also, if I want to watch porn i'll go on the internet. I don't want to watch an art house flick exlusively for the hard core scene. See previous post of mine for condensed opinion etc etc

Still porn, even if it's been removed. Just like Flesh Gordon will always be a porn film in people's minds, even in its soft version (or maby that's just me).

Score would still work dramatically even if all the sex scenes were removed - which, from what I can gather from the commentary, is essentially how it came across in the original stage version. It's a wittily-scripted drama about social and sexual mores first, erotica very much second. And I wouldn't describe it as porn at all, especially if you're straight: there's really surprisingly little to latch onto in that department (as it were). |

maybe someone should ask the BBFC why they passed a film called Shortbus completely uncut. If you don't know the film, it's about sexual exploration and feature many hardcore scenes of gay and straight sex, the gay sex more prominently than the straight. Did they pass this film because it's an 'art' film and not pass Score because it's exploitation?
