I Know What I'll Do Next Summer...
Incidently, my director/producer friend gave me the go for the "female assassin" idea a few minutes ago!
Thank you very miuch for the interest and feedback on my blog, guys!Posted 18th April 2009 at 05:19 PM by Peter Neal -
I Know What I'll Do Next Summer...
I'd go for the female assassin idea as well. There's great potential for some one-liners, witty retorts, ironic situations, some pathos - it's all in there.
The snowy spag western makes me think of Sukiyaki Western Django which never gelled for me and really only appealed I think to people who liked the Django references. Too many people don't know spag westerns which could lead to a lot of dialogue going on explanation.
Anyway whatever you do write I can't wait to come along for the ride and see how you get on.
Anyone else who feels the same make sure you take a look at the options panel - you can subscribe to any blog to get e-mail updates when there's something new to read and/or subscribe to the RSS feed.Posted 17th April 2009 at 07:54 PM by Almar@Cult Labs -

I'd also know the perfect actress for the part, whose voice I'm totally in love with!
She's had a smaller role in one of the "Dtektei Bates" radio plays and has done a lot of theatre, an actress with a very wide range....but I'll talk a bit more about the casting of proper voices in the very near future...Posted 17th April 2009 at 05:43 PM by Peter Neal -
I Know What I'll Do Next Summer...
I love the female assassin and kid sister idea. Time to dig out the Lone Wolf & Cub films for inspiration...Posted 17th April 2009 at 05:37 PM by Sam@Cult Labs -
"Horror Pop" from 80's Germany!
Thanks for the feedback, guys!
Believe me, I still have the whole library of sounds from those vinyl/tape horror radio plays echoing in the back of my mind.Posted 17th April 2009 at 05:21 PM by Peter Neal -
"Horror Pop" from 80's Germany!
You should try archive.org for copyright free old horror radio plays from hollywoods golden age of monster movies. Lots of Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi stuffPosted 17th April 2009 at 04:50 PM by Sam@Cult Labs -

Radioplay Script: First Slice
I still rate the old BBC 50s radio series Journey Into Space as one of the scariest things I've lived through. Turn the light off and listen to it in bed - scary times guaranteed!Posted 16th April 2009 at 04:30 PM by Almar@Cult Labs -
Radioplay Script: First Slice
That would be certainly a lot of fun- and much cheaper than starting to shoot movies, even shorts .
I love radio plays, because they're the perfect media bridge between books and movies.
They leave you enough room for your own imagination, yet give you the very best stimulation via suitable sound effects and scoring
You can do a small piece, a huge historical/scifi epic..it's basically only creativity setting the limits...

Radioplay Script: First Slice
Atmospheric stuff - I love a good creepy radio play but they're rarely on. So we'll just have to set up Cult Labs radio and make your plays!Posted 13th April 2009 at 07:26 PM by Almar@Cult Labs -

Love the avatar! And yes we've noticed the uber-low contrast in the replies (light grey text on a white background) and will get that sorted. Hopefully in time for your German radio play blog!Posted 12th April 2009 at 07:21 PM by Almar@Cult Labs -

I'm right now in search for a suitable avatar, which I'll add after finally stumbling over it.Posted 12th April 2009 at 11:03 AM by Peter Neal -

Final Destination rocked - I thought it was a great slick thrill ride with the plane opening and the shock bus fine highlights. Yet I'd never risked the sequels - on your advice I'm going to change that.
