Believe it or not, but some of the radio play series on cassette were so popular that they got their own soundtrack tape and vinyl release!




You should listen to a few of the other tracks, too. Might give you an idea why the music was such an essnetial part of the appeal.

"Die Insel der Zombies"...one of my faves from that period:

    wow! awesome stuff. Sadly I don't understand a word of german, but i'm liking the music and sounds. Really interesting, would be very interested to hear/read more about this kinda stuff. Keep em coming

    You should try archive.org for copyright free old horror radio plays from hollywoods golden age of monster movies. Lots of Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi stuff

    Believe me, I still have the whole library of sounds from those vinyl/tape horror radio plays echoing in the back of my mind.
