"Hell Bent for Leather: Confessions of a Heavy Metal Addict" by Seb Hunter - charity shop - £1.99

It seems that the author is a bit younger than me (I was born in '66, he was born in '71) and he comes from my basic area (I was Portsmouth, he was Winchester), so I am hoping that this a Nick Hornby-esque nostalgia trip about growing up addicted to heavy metal music with a lot of things and places that I can relate to and recognise!

Picked this up in "The Works" for £7. It appears to be a good read, maybe not one to plough through though (that's a horrible string o' words), maybe better to just check up on individual films, but the intro is good reading.

The copies in "The Works" have a red spine and a red border to the front cover.

I can vouch that it's a good read, troggi. I have an earlier edition from a few years ago.

How many pages in the new edition, troggi? If it's a substantial amount more i might re-buy it.

Saw that myself yesterday in the Leeds branch, unfortunately all copies were creased so I didn't buy it, but if it's in the Halifax one next time I'm in town I'll definitely get it, looked like a decent read
