I have that Penguin Classics one in the orange and white with the redacted title! One of my favourite books i think, along with Lord of the Flies, so make of that as you wish

The Winds of Winter might even be out by the time you've plowed through those! (I doubt it though...) Enjoy them!

Advance warning, you might start groaning to yourself when you turn the page and see the chapter is called 'Bran' haha

Just bought a copy of James Ellroy's latest, This Flood, signed by the great man himself. The greatest living novelist ? I think so.

Fear not Duke!! They are a joy to read. Tolkien's endless blathering about leaves is why LOTR is 3 books . These are better paced by a country mile. Enjoy!!

I’ve had this in my Amazon basket (saved for later) for years, patiently waiting for the price to drop from the £40 it was at when I added it, yesterday it dropped to £14 so I jumped on the chance to get the last copy

The B&W edition still goes for silly money, so I’m super stoked to get the Full Color Interior edition for such a bargain price and it’s bigger than I expected, certainly bigger than Troy Howarths Bava book, which I paid a similar price for a few years back. Sadly, I don’t have time to dive into it just now as I’m about to head out teaching for the evening, but I’ll be getting stuck in with a couple of beers later on tonight
