I'd be interested to know what the Frayling book is like, if you can remember when you've read it. I've got one of his horror ones which is excellent. I think he's more of a spaghetti western expert than he is horror though and that's saying something.

I think he's regarded as one of the foremost experts on Leone.

on a side note . I highly reccomend Junji Ito to those who have not read his work. Its strange, surreal and often incredibly disturbing. He has a unique ability to create f***** up imagery that manages to be horrifying yet oddly beautiful.
