Here are my sci-fi book club hardbacks from the 60's - the ones without dust jackets.

You'll notice authors like Heinlein, Blish, Simak, C Clarke, Aldiss, Asimov and Wyndham among them.

Dust jacket titles to come.

Cheers Dem much appreciated. The trouble with lychen by Wyndham I intend on picking up. A lot there I have not heard of. I'll be researching some tonight.

I did have necronomicon by Alan Moore in hardcover and stupid me sold it when I needed some money. Now going for £80! The Batman g.novel I'm not fussed as I used to be a massive superhero comic book fan now it's just an oversaturated market and spoilt that underground feel for me. Appreciated though. Any other Poe or Lovecraft graphic novels suggestions welcome though.

I don't know if anyone is interested but Waterstones have the new Lee Child Jack Reacher hardback for sale at a tenner.

Signed.

It's not out until November so would be a pre-order but for any Child / Reacher fans it's a bargain collectible.

Only available until 9am tomorrow morning.

Re: Stephen King's 'Pet Semetery'

If you are that way inclined, you can make out an animals face in the tree with this cover, which makes it spookier than the other releases

Have you read his stuff before, Shaun?

He's not the greatest author around.

However i do think those are essential horror books.

Lovecrafts imagination unfortunately was greater than his actual skill as a writer, but then I would argue that about Stephen King too.
