Took my mum shopping for Christmas gifts at Boundary Mill at Colne and came back with this for £2.50.

I think i've already got it in hardback but not in a gold leaf edition like this.

Certainly i've got several of them already but not presented as beautifully as this. And it smells bloomin' delightful - new book smell plus leather. Mmmm!

Perfect reading for a Christmas fireside.

I have this too, Dem - it’s a lovely book.

It is isn't it. Smells wonderful as you read it too. That mixture of leather, printed paper and whisky...mmm!

I started it last night.

Arrived today. Probably won't interest many on here but that's cool.

Putting this here as this is as good a place

.... two copies of Record Collector

Issues 299 & 321 (cough)

Both contain interesting bits for all here, with bits about Venom, early and later Pink Floyd, the Harvest label, Psychedelia, and the usual sale lists.
£1 the pair. The rest were .... worn to be diplomatic ....

Yes. I read it in four sittings. I was if not gripped, then very interested in how it all would turn out and the characters were nicely written. It was a very straightforward book to read, not what you would call taxing on the brain. A lot of rock culture references as well which i liked.

Perfect for reading now. It begins on Halloween and ends at New Year.

Think I'll see if one of the bigger supermarkets still has it.
