Hi there!

Has anyone ever read the EC Comic Archive books released by Gemstone? I'm thinking of getting one but which one?! So far it's between the Vault Of Horror or the Tales From The Crypt book. Any ideas?

You can always try some university libraries for Barker's book (my old one had it and that is how I managed to read it - although I finally located a battered old second hand copy out of sheer luck) or ask the man himself directly. He teaches at Aberystwyth University. It's a pretty good read - divided into individual chapters by those who opposed the Bright bill. Barker himself writes about seven or eight movies, running down the plot descriptions for those who have not seen them.

See No Evil is, as has been mentioned, probably the last word on the nasties though - hugely in depth and essential for any scholar on the subject.

Yes it's a good little book. I bought this when it first came out and still dip into it on occasions.

Picked up "Trashfiend" by Scott Stine today.The byline reads:"disposable horror fare of the 1960s and 1970s".Flicking through it,the contents cover film,comics,toys, music and good old super 8.www.headpress.com for details.

There is a copy of Nightmare USA sitting in my local waterstones, I have always wanted to get it but its £30 had a flick through it and it looks awsome.

:rofl: How weird is that! I was just about to post a thread about Nightmare USA book too! I was thinking about getting it off amazon.
