This book is fantastic. In fact I'm willing to say its my favourite book about film! I love the way the author (Stephen Thrower) unashamedly speaks up for such considered 'cinematic atrocities' like Pigs, boarding house et al. Its lovely having such a well informed and written book with an appreciation of film so similar to my own. This book is highly recommended!

Oh and there should be a part 2 in the pipelines
Can't wait
I couldn't have said it better myself.

Thrower's "Eyeball" zine was great as well, and is now published in book form.

I picked up Cinema Sewer: The Adults Only Guide to the Sickest and Sexiest Movies yesterday and it is brilliant ( what i have read so far ). Full of hilarious stories and interveiws of some the XXx stars of the 70's and 80's.( Jamie Gillis is one Depraved dude! ). Also some of the images are very explicit.

An absolute must for all fans of cinematic sleaze.

Well, I just ordered Monster Island: A Zombie Novel and the graphic novel Jesus Hates Zombies!!!!! I was also going to get Pride And Prejudice And Zombies instead but wasn't too sure on this one.

Has anybody here read any of these or any similar?

Super Happy

Although i only used to look at movie books (y'know just the pictures!) when i was a kid in the early '80s it wasn't until the later part of the decade that i actually began reading the text inside and started learning about many things cinematic.

Following on from my previous post, here's most (if not all) of the booklets i have:

Cine Xcess
Mondo Argento
Blazing Magnums
Knights Of Terror
Suspiria: Dario Argento's Darkest Dream
And You Will Live In Terror!....John Martin Explores The Beyond
John Morghen: The Nastiest Man In The World!
David Warbeck: The Man And His Movies
The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue: A Critical Dissection
Giallo Scrapbook Vol.1
Giallo Scrapbook Vol.2
Slash Hits Vol.1
Slash Hits Vol.2
Slash Hits Vol.3
Tom Savini: The Wizard Of Gore

Nekrofile: Cinema Of The Extreme
Son Of Seduction Of The Gullible
Fantasy Film Memory: Lucio Fulci
Fantasy Film Memory: Cannibal Holocaust
Fantasy Film Memory: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre/The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre 2 (signed by Gunnar Hansen)
and assorted issues of Flesh And Blood, Is It....Uncut?, Giallo Pages, Delirium and Diabolik.

I know these latter titles aren't books but they're film-related anyway. So sue me!
