I emailed Byrcey to find out what was happening.
They said they'd come back in the new year...yeah right! They ran away with some of my sub money!!

I have almost every issue, i have supported them for years, yet he doesn't have the politeness to reply to my mail!!

I was a DS reader. I got loads of them starting from the 90's in order (bar a few) up to sometime in the 00's , including SE's , stored in boxes up in my loft now.
I really will have to think about getting rid of them though as I need the space. Pity, as 90% of them are in near mint condition.

I like Fangoria but won't pay the price we have to pay for it in the UK! Considered getting a subscription direct from them to save a few pounds.

Read Gorezone once and didn't like it, didn't like the reviews or pretty much anything in it.

Never read Rue Morgue, need to remedy that!

When Rue Morgue does a good issue they really do a good issue but they're VERY hot or miss and they have gotten way to expensive now.

FANGORIA is sadly and has been dead for some time now and once again to Expensive.

Horror Hound is much cheaper and a far better publication but they only come out 4 or 6 times a year.

I subscribe to Fangoria but I'm starting to wonder whether it's worth the money as it seems to me spending more and more time promoting big mainstream films, The Wolfman for example, and less and less column inches on smaller movies and actual genre analysis.

I'll still keep buying in the hope that the industry kicks the remake habit and doesn't disappear up its own arse.

Yeah FANGORIA stinks and definitely isn't worth the rice at all.I like that Rue Morgue is slowlwly getting better but its to expensive and definitely not worth it at all.You can buy a DVD or 2 cheap one s for that price.I like HORROR HOUND myself.

I used to buy Fangoria, but Nosferatu is right - too many mainstream movies.
I have to check the Horror Hound mag. I've never seen that. Actually it's the first time I hear about it.

Was just browsing the FAB Press website and came across a new magazine called Creepy-Images, from what I've read it's a magazine full of posters, many of which are rare, lobby cards, etc of one particular film (which changes each issue). Looks great - but at £5+ (exc. p&p) I'm not so sure.

The new Rue Morgue NOES looks great too - soo tempted!

Anyone used to read Fanzines? I sadly missed out on that era - what with the internet, seems like there's no need for them. Shame really. Unless I'm wrong completly - are there still many fanzines?

I also noticed Shock Cinema on that link Kyle. Sounds right up our street:

Shock Cinema is an essential guide for any fan of bizarre films and videos, and each issue is crammed with movie reviews, interviews and original poster art. Plus, Shock Cinema covers everything a self-respecting film-junkie could possibly desire - from Cult Movies and Arthouse Oddities, to old fashioned Drive-In Swill and Underground Obscurities. Read Shock Cinema to find out about the weirdest, wildest (and in most cases, barely released) films ever made... Blaxploitation, Sexploitation, Demented Art Films, Women In Prison, Horror, Sci-Fi, Porno Weirdness, Musical Misfires, Mondo Movies, and everything else in between. It's all here!
