Just picked up the latest Fangoria.

Another excellent issue, it has an Amicus cover story, as well as features on Wake Wood and Horror Express.

The mag has a gorgeous Elvira poster stapled in the middle.

Picked up the new Dark Side yesterday, it's actually the first horror magazine I've read. It's enjoyable enough, but the design is rather bland and the way the Walter Hill interview is laid out is just plain confusing.

I agree and bring back the original layout i say. The old TDS was a much more attractive read imo.

I picked up the new issue of Darkside magazine and I do very much agree about the design. The outside and the inside feel like two very different beasts. The inside is very minimalist and the cover is hugely stylised. It's a bit mish-mash from section to section too.

Content wise, I much prefer this issue to the last, The John Russo interview, and the Ruggero Deodato interview are great, and very timely, The Night Of The Living Dead feature great, the Allan Scott interview, and the Ian McCulloch interview (lots of interviews this issue) is again timely considering Zombies impending release from BU. The reviews seem to be scraping the barrel, but I guess they don't control what's getting released. But overall, I found this issue much more interesting and easy to digest.

I picked up the latest TDS myself last Friday and was pleased to see said issue is a Zombie special. I've yet to read it, though and i think i'll wait until nearer the weekend to do so. I just prefer perusing my fave mags when i know the working week's at an end.
