Default The Walking Dead

A monthly comic book serial, this tells the story of Rick Grimes and his son who are part of a group of survivors following a zombie holocaust. The series is a well written, realistic (as far as zombie stories can be) thrill ride that can sure shock on occasion. It is currently being made as a TV series from a network called AMC. Allegedly it will be as brutal and as bloody as the book, just no proper cuss words.

Anyone else here a fan?

Love it, been buying the graphic novels as they came out but missed one around book 6. I'm planning to start reading from the start again and cannot wait for the TV show, from photos so far it looks pretty damn good.

I love this. Really want to get some of the original art from it (collect comic book pencils) but the prices seem to keep on going up because of this new T.V show coming out and such. Urggghhh

I'd get em if you can afford them. The price will only go up, sadly.

I love Whitely Bay by the way. Have seen their footie team get the FA Vase twice in a row.

A workmate of mine lent me his collection of TWD volumes and i've quite enjoyed them. Unrelentingly grim and pretty graphic though i must confess i'm not a fan of Charlie Adlard's artwork.

If the upcoming TV serial is gonna supposedly feature the same level of gore then why not keep all the profanity in too? I hate it when this sort of network approved sanitation occurs.

Any idea which actor will play Rick Grimes? How about Nathan Fillion?

Sadly, Nathan Fillion is happily contracted to star in a TV series called Castle. The actor chosen for the role of Rick Grimes is British; a guy called Andrew Lincoln.

The subject of the violence and f-bombs on TWD is addressed at this current article;

Nice bit of promo art just released;

However, all the characters are responding to something in one direction and they've stuck a zombie at the far left. "Hello!"

Nice one and I like it!

Actually, in this artwork Andrew Lincoln reminds me of Viggo Mortensen. Only a bit thinner in the face!
