The first 2 books are the stuff of greatness. Then they go downhill into self-parody and misery tourism. I was actually asked to do some research on GoT a couple of years before the tv series started. Never did find out if it was for that or not, but i said no thanks anyway...

I'm currently 3/4's of the way through Time Lord Fairy Tales.

A book of fairy tales with a Doctor Who twist. The Doctor isn't in all of them, in fact he's only been in three so far out of ten and never by name. We've had appearances from Troughton, Eccleston and Smith so far.

The best thing about this easy to read but nicely written tome is the sheer number of monsters from the series entire history that turn up. Some obvious ones like the Cybermen but others less so. At least two of the stories would have made excellent tv episodes in todays 45 minute format.

This is a delight to read by the light of the twinkling Christmas tree as day fades into night.

Seeing as I'm potentially going to be teaching music in primary schools in the near future, it's time I brushed up on my music theory :/

Recently finished reading this great little pulp western paperback...

It's one of a whole series of books (I think there's 50+ in total) and the first one I've read. It is full of gore, sadism, violence, double-crossing, deaths and a the most heartless and cold 'hero' of all. EXCELLENT book for any fans of Spaghetti Western films. Looking forward to the next one

But until then, time to get stuck into the Adam Ant autobiography...
