I just finished World War Z by Max Brooks, that was a lot better than I was expecting, and I've started the first book of George R R Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice, which is A Game of Thrones.

The missus read Steve Martins autobiography Born Standing Up: A Comic's Life which she enjoyed, so I'll be reading that as my lunchtimes at work book next too.

Presently reading:

"The Practice of the Ancient Turkish Freemasons. The Key to the Understanding of Alchemy. A Presentation of the Ritual, Doctrine and Signs of Recognition Among the Oriental Freemasons" by Baron Rudolf von Sebottendorf.

Try asking for that in Waterstones!

I've also got "Theozoology or the Science of the Sodomite Apelings and the Divine Electron. An introduction to the most ancient philosophy and a justification of the monarchy and the nobility." lined up next.

I'm currently wading through the rather fantastic Hollywood Animal, Joel Eszterhas's autobiography.

It's superbly written with tons of fascinating anecdotes that range from the unbelievable to the hilarious. I'm taking most of it with a pinch of salt, but it's a big recommendation if you want to hear about 80s/90s Hollywood from a writer's point of view. It's kind of like his version of Hollywood Babylon with added childhood anecdotes

Has anyone got a Kindle and if so, any good? I'm up to my limit on space for books apart from new must haves and collectables and was considering going down this route.

Finished A Game Of Thrones, and a cracking read it was indeed! I don't want to move on to book two just yet, as the 5500 pages they're currently up to for the series (plus the 3 books still to come!) might get a bit heavy if read in succession, so I've moved on to Don DeLillo's Underworld. No idea what it's about, but I thought i'd give it a blast!
