Just started "A Feast For Crows", which is book 4 of George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" story, which the TV series Game of Thrones is based on.

Great, great stuff, and I don't even really like fantasy as a genre. It's very political, with lots of power struggles etc rather than a balls out fantasy.

also reading the late JG Ballard's auto biog Miracles Of Life. clearly and precisely written, he can create vivid imagery using a few phrases. just like his fiction in fact. something Brown could learn from finished this last night. whilst i dont agree with a few things he says, at least i got to find out his reasons for Crash and have divined what he and Burroughs had in common after all these years....recommended to hardcore fans and Empire of the Sun readers alike!!

I've just read Kim Newman's "Moriarty" (which was amazing), Jim Butcher's "The Dresden Files: Dead Beat" (which was...OK, with some fun bits) and I am currently reading Loren D Estleman's "Dr Jekyll And Mr Holmes".

reading 1st volume of Micheal Sheard's autiobiography "Yes, Mr Bronson", interesting tales of life as a jobbing actor, surprised how much stuff he's in that ive got really (do like me "Riddle of the Sands" etc).
second volume promises much hilarity at conventions etc.
