"The Fog" WOW!
I read it when it first came out in '75? '76? Well, whenever, I bought it 'cause it was advertised on t' side o' t' buses. I could not put t' damn thing down. I loved t' way Herbert introduced a character, fleshed 'em out into a believable character and then killed 'em in a spectacular fashion (pecked to death by homing pigeons, anyone?)

I went to t' main library, here in Portsmouth, just before Christmas to see an interview wi' t' great man. He's a peach, even my daughter enjoyed it.

I still have fond memories of all James Herbert's early books, all of 'em stained with t' viscera of his fictional victims.

Still haven't picked up Herbert's latest book-Ash, I've heard mixed things about it but I still want to give it a shot

Started re-reading 'Domain', by Herbert, last night. Re-read 'The Rats' and 'Lair' late last year. Think I'll read 'Shrine' next, to complete my JH tribute.

Somewhat different to previous entries but still a good read if you enjoy the fantasy genre.

I'm halfway through "The Watchmen," the book that took graphic novels away from us nerds and made 'em mainstream.

The Red Seas: Under the Banner of King Death: The recently concluded comic book has it's first three issues published here and there jolly good fun, superior to the last dozen instalments. Back when Steve Yeowell could, you know, draw shit.
